On-line newsletter elegantly consolidates content into single page

Design HQ suggested an electronic newsletter as an environmentally friendly way of sharing information with clients. This format helps us avoid the considerable expense of print production and shipping large volumes of paper around the globe. We are very pleased with the results.

Challenge
Prepare an on-line issue of SRK News with the recognizable masthead from printed issues; the event photo; an overview and 6 lenghty papers — all without building a huge scrolling page or a bulky, multiple page micro-site.

Solution
We used 'accordion panels' to tuck content away until the reader wanted more information. Below the overview, each title expanded to reveal a synopsis, the author's photo and name with a link to the complete paper PDF. The fluid page size combined with accordion panels allowed the entire issue to be viewed on most monitors without scrolling. Very tidy.
